Kano State Government has decided not to back down on the demolition of illegal structures which was kick-started by the former administration
This was made known by the State Deputy Governor,Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo at a meeting with members from the Association of Progressive Tarauni LGA at the Government House on Thursday.
According to reports, the Abba Kabir Yusuf led administration had tore down a 3 storey shopping complex located at Race Course road Nasarawa GRA with 90 shops, Daula Hotel and other buildings at Hajj Camp.

The Deputy Governor put emphasis on the importance of sticking to the the rule of law and restoring order in urban areas.
In order to maintain sustainable urban growth and safeguard the interests of the general public, he emphasized the importance of dismantling the structures.
He raised worry about how unregulated construction might affect public safety, drainage, and infrastructure.
The Deputy Governor underlined how public assets were sold by the previous government for personal benefit, without taking the effects on the community into account, by using concrete instances.
In the Fagge LGA’s ancient Massalacin Waje, which has important cultural and religious value, as well as sections of the Eid prayer area, he addressed the partition and selling of property.
