According to Ukrainian counter-intelligence, a possible assassination attempt on President Volodymyr Zelensky was thwarted yet again
According to Ukraine’s UNIAN news agency, a group of Russian saboteurs led by a secret service operative were caught in the city of Uzhhorod, on the border between Ukraine, Slovakia, and Hungary.
The squad of about 25 men was also responsible for carrying out acts of sabotage in Ukraine’s government area and other sections of the country, according to reports.
The men were presumably going to disguise themselves as members of the Ukrainian military forces in order to get access to Kiev.
Since the start of the war, the Ukrainian government claims that Russian spy squads have tried several times to get to Kiev and assassinate Zelensky. So far The President has survived 4 assassination attempts since the war began.
