The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Wednesday reported 230 new COVID-19 cases across 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The agency also reported one additional COVID-19 related death.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official website on Thursday.
According to the data from the agency, Lagos recorded the highest figures for new infections for the day with 115 cases.
Gombe reported 29 cases of the virus followed by FCT – 24, Imo – 20, Rivers -10, Ondo – 9, Kano – 5, Abia – 4, Kaduna – 4, Oyo – 4, Kebbi – 2, Ogun – 2, Borno – 1, Jigawa – 1.
The reported 230 new infections have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 251,571 while 225,220 people have recovered and have been discharged.
However, with one additional COVID-19 related death recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus stands at 3,117.
The agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
